Trent Design have been awarded a contract and are currently working hard to complete the project within very tight deadlines. Due to our clients plans, they needed to close a very large distribution centre near Bristol. Trent Design gave them an offer to remove all of the pallet racking and associated storage equipment and sprinklers from the site. Despite the site being over 150k sq/ft, we’re on target to complete the works within a 4 week time frame.

We will be leaving the site completely clear and tidy, and will be giving our client a substantial amount of money for their equipment which we remove.

Here is some information about a Large Distribution Centre Fit out that we recently completed in Chorley, Lancashire.

This wide aisle Pallet Racking system was built in two phases over an 11 week period and  has provided our Client with over 14,000 pallet locations including 2052 Euro Pallets, greatly increasing their storage capacity and picking efficiency.

The Racking system is manufactured by AR Storage Systems, a leading Spanish company.  All storage levels were fitted with a sprinkler system supplied by local firm Hall Fire Ltd.  Many of the storage levels were also fitted with easy shelf waterfall steel mesh decking supplied by QTS ltd.  The steel mesh decking will help with the safe storage of one way pallets that are used instead of blues to help keep  daily running costs to a minimum. Trent Storage and Design Ltd acted as Principal Contractor for the project and managed both the health and safety , and all CDM regulations during the project.

Please take a look at project we recently completed for a Automotive Parts company in Yorkshire.

In this project we designed their entire new site for them – Then we installed a multi-tier long- span shelving installation for small parts storage, and we also installed several runs of adjustable pallet racking to store their bulkier items – We used a system manufactured by AR Storage Systems, which is a leading European System. We also fitted a number of mezzanine floors to support external staircases for access to the multi-tier shelving.

Other works proposed included steel skinned offices, line marking, full electrical / cctv installation and fire rated partitioning throughout. We essentially completed the entire fit out and handed over the building as a fully functioning distribution centre/warehouse.

Trent Storage and design Ltd, part of the ever expanding Trent Design Group, this week started work installing an Adjustable Pallet Racking system for Pet food producers Golden Acres Pet Food Partners at their new national distribution centre in Chorley Lancashire.
