home > mezzanine floors > structure StructureColumnsThese are upright posts made of steel to which beams are bolted. They can be supported with bracing to improve the structure's rigidity. BeamsBeams are the sections of steel that run across the top of the columns. They can be any length and are securely bolted to the columns. JoistsThese run at right angles to the beams and support the decking. They sit on top of the beams or can be located between the beam webs to reduce the floor's depth. Joists vary in length depending on the use of the floor. DeckingDecking is the surface of the floor and is laid on the beams. It can be made from chipboard or steel. We also have a selection of accessories to customise your mezzanine floor to your requirement |
