Mezzanine Floor For Mower World

Wayne Hallam Of Mowerworld contacted Trent Storage and Design regarding the possibility of installing a Mezzanine Floor at their site on the London Road Nottingham site.

The floor presented several unique challenges which were addressed by our Mezzanine Floor Specialists. In this case, one of our competitors was happy to install the floor with a simple core sample without looking at the history of the site and the proximity to the Nottingham Canal system. Had the client followed the advice of the competition, they could well have been looking at serious building collapse and possible loss of human life. The site had a poor sub base and geophysical structure and needed piling to a depth of 8m on every column installed. It was thanks to our unique experience and understanding of the loads imposed on the floor that we were able to make the correct decision that not one of our competitors had even considered.

The floor was installed with a full 60 minute fire rated ceiling and intumescent paint, allowing the client to save of bulky column cladding. As well as the floor and fire rating Trent Storage and Design were also commissioned to install all the electric and lighting for the site as well as a goods lift.
